Three Private sleeping areas, three full heads w/showers and pro-designed aircraft style space utilization combine to make her the “Biggest” 50′ boat you’re likely to find! Starting with hull plans drawn by noted Naval Architect Bruce Roberts and using his considerable skills as a professional engineer, her builder created a uniquely comfortable, custom-built solid steel trawler yacht.

Pride of ownership is readily apparent, including an abundant use of exotic woods and contrasting-tone wooden inlays in her hand-crafted interior.

Her hull is a full quarter inch steel plating on 22″ frames and 12″ longitudinals. The keel has a four inch tube filled with 4,000 pounds of lead for ballast and stability, with steel skeg protection for running gear.

The living quarters are fully insulated, and well-forward of a watertight bulkhead and engine room.

Entry from the aft cockpit opens to the galley and salon, and there are wing doors on either side into pilothouse. Lovely wood paneling, full carpeting, and a tiled mural back-splash create a comfortable setting for guests or liveaboards. An Island counter with stool seating defines the galley area to port. An inlaid wooden high/low table serves six, with comfortable seating on the U-shaped dinette/settee (which can convert to a not-so-private 4th double bunk)

Ahead of the salon to starboard and five steps down are the main living quarters with a large guest double stateroom to port, with ensuite head, shower and enormous storage space. A washer/dryer is built-in aft in the lower companionway, and additional storage is built-in outboard all along the starboard side, running forward.

Fully forward, the Master stateroom has a king-sized platform bed, the third private head and shower, more built-ins and a comfortable, warm feeling with its light paneling.

Forward of the main salon and up two steps to port are a guest head and shower, ahead of which is the full-width pilothouse, with helm, controls and full electronics. Plus, a settee/watch-berth which also folds out (mechanically!) into a full-sized double bunk.

The helm console has great visibility, and twin aft deck mounted video cameras help with those close maneuvers. All electronic controls, communications and full electric monitoring systems are close at hand in this unusual “flight deck” style layout at the helm.

A hand-held “Yacht-Controller” reaches the foredeck/windlass-anchor handling and up to the flybridge for outside walk-around control of steering and both engines!

There are small side decks with nonskid coatings, and access to the foredeck is through the pilothouse wing doors. The large boat deck is accessed either from the aft cockpit or up the steps outside both pilothouse wing doors. There is an electric davit for small boats and Stainless Steel Radar Arch.

Engine compartment access is just ahead of the aft salon door above the Kohler gen-set, or, through hatches in the salon directly above the mains. The engine compartment is well organized and has a smart layout with ample room to move around.

“Marivic” is certainly a one-of-a-kind trawler. She is exceptionally well planned in her design and layout, and built to the highest standards of construction with many clever ideas incorporated. She’s a proven year-’round liveaboard, with a great layout for a couple or small family. And, she’s WARM AND COMFORTABLE for Northwest cruising all year ’round.
